Tyler’s Group and Motomail

Debbie heard from Tyler and he’s doing fine. Here’s what she had to say, “He called yesterday and said they are in a somewhat secure area for a few days (been in on the operation steel curtain which
lost 8 men this week) and he said to say hello to all and that he is alive and well. We all wish he was home for Christmas and Thanksgiving/ also if you go to motomail you can mail him a letter that he can have hand delivered within 24 hours (if it is safe to do so).”

She found his unit’s information on the web here: The Fighting 13th Here’s an article about Operation Steel Curtain.

To learn about Motomail, read this article, then sign up at the Motomail site to send him some mail. His unit is the 13th MEU, his rank is Lance Cpl, and name is Tyler Moritz. You don’t have to download the application they ask about at the end of the registration, but if you’re on a dial up connection and are a slow typer, you may want to.

If anyone hears anything more, please post it here. Keep Tyler in your prayers.

One Response to Tyler’s Group and Motomail

  1. Debbie says:

It is December 4th and still no new word from Tyler. He e-mailed about a week ago to say that he was headed somewhere else, and not to worry about him. Yeah, ok…..
Hung up his Christmas stocking, along with all of the other Christmas decorations. The christmas stocking is one that his grandma Marti gave to him when he was very small. I decided to keep all decorations up until he comes home for a visit in February. Of course, with three cats, and a one year old black lab, I don’t know what kind of condition some of the lights, garland, and tinsel will be in when he returns.
Well, I check daily the news on Fox network, the e-mail news access, and public radio broadcasts. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tyler and those who serve with him.
I appreciate the sentiment that Becki included in one of her posts regarding the quote from Winston Churchill as this is one of Tyler’s heros…
Well, that is it on the Tyler subject…
    Debbie
