I just spent my evening scanning the web in my usual fashion. I can spend hours on the Internet because I start with a topic of interest, and search for related topics, and go places and “see” things that I had no idea existed. Tonight, I was looking up subjects related to Tyler, his unit, and military operations that he or his unit participated in. In a very round about way, I ended up finding this story. Please read it.
I think this site is as good as any account I’ve read about soliders, their friendships, their sense of duty, and the sacrifices of their families. We live in a great country, comprised of ordinary people who do extraordinary things and make extraordinary sacrifices. This story of Echo company should remind us that we must honor those who fight, without regard for politics.
We must honor their families as well. They are the ones left at home while their loved one is in harm’s way. They are the one’s who worry every day, afraid to answer the door. They are the ones who must carry on alone.
It’s all so easy to forget or ignore if you don’t have someone over there. Please don’t forget or ignore this war.
