We took a short trip out to the Clark Mountain picnic area on Sunday. Clark Mountain is in the Mojave National Preserve. We live very close to the preserve, but haven’t seen much of it. Now that we have the Jeep, we intend to do a lot more exploring.
I’d seen pictures of the Clark Mountain area and thought that it would be a good first step. I couldn’t find much in the way of maps or accounts of people who’d been there recently, so I thought it would be fun to try to find the picnic area. Thanks to this article at Summit Post, we found it. I’ve posted the pictures on my picture site if you’re interested in seeing what it looks like up there. Who knows, I may climb the mountain later this year or early next.
